VETERANS ADVISORY COMMISSION
The purpose of this commission is to represent all veterans in Sacramento County by advising the Board of Supervisors and County Staff generally on matters pertaining to veterans, holding informal public meetings, providing the public with information, and receiving comments relative to veterans’ issues. Members must be residents of Sacramento; Military veterans who have served any length of time in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard, or National Guard (operating under the War Department, Navy Department or Department of Defense); and discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable. There is ONE seat to be filled due to the resignation of J. Rochelle (District 3 nomination). Application filing period will be from 12/9/24 to 12/20/24 and will be considered by the Board of Supervisors on 1/7/25.
